Drum Effect workshops bring people together and have them working cooperatively in a music-making session that is fun and easy.  Whether it be a 15-minute ice-breaker or a one hour team building workshop, participants will feel uplifted and inspired and will recognise the value of working as a whole as they create powerful African rhythms.

Drumming is a highly inclusive activity that promotes participation, cooperation, listening, and working together.  For centuries, people have come together to celebrate the joy of rhythm through drumming.  It is natural; it is therapeutic; and in this busy day-and-age, can provide a great form of stress relief.  No matter how big or small the group, a drumming circle creates a space in which everyone can engage and the room quickly fills with laughter, excitement, and the positive energy of people working together.

Workshops can be tailored to the specific needs of your group and venue.  Contact Drum Effect to discuss an interactive drumming workshop for your group.

Testimonials

"We are thrilled with the way in which Drum Effect has worked with a number of our groups to really set the mood, and provide a great start to our workshops. Not only has the drumming been a wonderful way to bring people together (regardless of age, fitness and skill level); it has helped establish a level of trust in the group for the rest of the workshop. Kate has been great, very responsive and apleasure to work with!"
-  Georgia Russell, The Nous Group

"Thanks so much for coming out to do the drum session with the ANUCC, all the lads had a ball and are still talking about it! We used the session as a team bonding session and because it was so different to the things we would usually do it had a better outcome than we could have expected. I’m sure the boys will be asking to do it again as an early season activity again next year."
- Randall Starr, First Grade Captain of the Australian National University Cricket Club (ANUCC)

"Since the beginning of our team building program at Questacon, I wanted something to be able to end the day with a bang.  I heard of this incredibile person who runs drumming workshops.  I got in touch with Kate and trialled the drumming session to end the team building day.  Needless to say, it was a huge success and Kate has become a regular part of our team building session.  Participants have given the drumming session glowing reports in their feedback.  If you are looking to punctuate your day either at the beginning or end, I can not think of a better way than with Kate and Drum Effect."
- Patrick Helean, National Science & Technology Centre (Questacon)
